20 Year Class Reunion

The Philo High School Class of 1989 held their 20 Year Class Reunion at Z-Venue in Zanesville, OH on Saturday, September 20, 2008. The reunion was planned for the 20th anniversary of our senior year rather than 20 years after graduation. One of the main reasons that it was held in the fall of 2008 is that the 1988 Football Team was honored for being MVL Champs at the football game on Friday night. Some classmates had gotten together earlier in the year and decided that there may be better attendance at the reunion if it coincided with honoring the football team. Attending the football game allowed classmates to become reacquainted and to see other alumni from different graduating years.
The next reunion will occur in 2014, on the actual 25th anniversary of graduation by the Class of 1989.

Honoring the 1988 MVL Football Champs - September 19, 2008

On Friday, September 19, 2008, the 1989 Philo Football Team was honored at the Philo vs. Tri-Valley Game. Unfortunately Philo lost but that didn't dampen the spirits of the 1989 Team as we gathered to celebrate the 20 Year Anniversary of the MVL Championship Title.

PHS Alumni showed their support at the football game. While a lot has changed, you could still feel the excitement that Friday night football brings to The Sam Hatfield Stadium. It was exciting to see old friends and to meet their families...throughout the night, we all agreed that it is hard to believe that it has been 20 years since we had attended PHS.

After the game, a few classmates stopped by Brannon's Cafe in Duncan Falls. I think everyone enjoyed catching up and becoming reacquainted with each other.

The pictures in this blog are from that evening.
